Our Library provides a number of services and programs for our students including Lunchtime clubs; Study Hall and Homework Club; Student Library Helper Program; and with the support of the Multicultural and Wellbeing teams, we offer a number of special events and themes throughout the year.
In addition to fostering a love of books and reading, our Library provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment well utilised by all members of the Kurunjang Secondary College community.
Before school; Lunchtime; and Afterschool until 5pm – every school day.
A variety of activities are held during lunchtime each day including mindful activities, lego and anime clubs, and our popular chess club.
Our Library is open until 5pm each school day, where students can come in and catch up on schoolwork and homework. Students have access to library books, computers, netbooks, and iPads to support with completing schoolwork and for research. Library staff are available to assist students with resources and research.
Our Library holds a large variety of books including Fiction and Non-Fiction books. Books are shelved in genres such as Fantasy or Biographies to make it easier for students to browse. Other resources include magazines, newspapers, and DVDs. Library staff purchase new resources based on trends, interests, and need. We welcome suggestions from students and staff – which can be placed in the box at the library desk or by speaking to our friendly library staff.
