Student Support Services

Our Student Support Services Team offers a variety of internal supports including wellbeing, diverse ability and pathways support.

Our wellbeing team members, including our wellbeing officers, social worker, mental health practitioner, provisional psychologist, chaplain and school nurse offer short term interventions and referral services. Short term interventions includes brief, solution focused counselling, mediation, program implementation and psycho-education. The team offers a variety of lunch time clubs and programs to meet the Social and Emotional needs of the students of Kurunjang Secondary College.

Our learning support team, including our Assistant Principals, house teams, PSD coordinator, provisional psychologist, multicultural aides and Koori education support officer assists students with their educational needs, and with funding ensures additional support. Individual Education Plans are implemented to ensure teachers are familiar with strategies that best support student learning.

Pathways referrals are supported and planned for by our Careers practitioners with all students undertaking the Morrisby testing in Year 9 and Career Action Plans post this. Please go to the Careers Web Page for more information.
