ANZAC Day 2019 will commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings on the beaches of Normandy on the 6th June 1944 – a turning point in World War Two. Let us also remember that 25 years ago, in 1994, the Australian Defence Force was on active service in Afghanistan and Irag. And, ten years ago, in 2009, our sailors, soldiers and airmen were heavily committed in East Timor and Afghanistan.
On behalf of the President and Committee of the Melton RSL Sub-branch, I invite representatives of your student body and staff to join us to celebrate this special and solemn day on Thursday 25th April 2019.
There are two key events on the day. Firstly, the Dawn Service which will commence at 6:00AM at the Cenotaph in High Street and, secondly, the March which will assemble at 9:30AM on the corner of High and Alexandra Streets (outside the “Rivers” Store).
The College Captains will be representing the College, with the Wreath.
